This was the second running of these multi-sport championships, held this year in Coventry. Hull Achilles' sole representative in the Yorkshire and Humber team was Kerrie Harris, who continued her fine season by winning the womens 800m. Please see the Results section for all the details.

| 14th August 2007 - England Athletics Championships |
Kerrie Harris, Abi Carter and Sam Barnes represented the club at the England Athletics Championships in Sheffield. All returned with medals, see the Results section for full details. Well done to you all.

| 14th August 2007 - Schools International |
Kerrie Harris represented England at the Schools International match in Newport, Wales, on 21st July, and won the 800m against the best of the rest of the UK. Well done Kerrie! See Results for full details.

| 20th July 2007 - North of England League Cup and Plate |
North of England AA have made changes to how the cup and plate will be run this year. The format for the first round will be different from recent years. 16 teams will be sent to each venue. A draw will be made on the day, as it used to be in the past, with 8 teams contesting two matches at each venue.
The qualification for the finals will be the first 2 to the Cup final and the 3rd and 4th placed teams to the plate final. Hull Achilles will be competing in one of the two matches at Costello, whilst the other two matches take place in Wigan. The date of the first round is Sunday 12th August, with the finals being held on Saturday September 8th at Blackpool.

| 19th July 2007 - Hull Daily Mail HOTSHOTS Awards |
The Hull Daily Mail held their annual HOTSHOTS awards on Tuesday 17th July. Hull Achilles had two members nominated, Pam Piercy in the "Coach of the Year" category and thrower Abbi Carter for "Under-14 Female Hotshot of the Year". At the awards ceremony, held at the KC Stadium, both Pam and Abbi won their respective categories. Well done to both of you from everyone at Hull Achilles for two well deserved awards.
Congratulations also go to Kingston sprinter Annabelle Lewis who received the "Under-18 Female Hotshot of the Year Award".

19th July 2007 - English Schools Track and Field Championships
|
The 77th ESAA Track and Field Championships took place last Friday and Saturday at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. Hull Achilles was as usual well represented, and contributed 3 medals to the Humberside team's collection, as well as several more final appearances. It was the first time that the championships had been televised, with Sky Sports presenting live coverage of the Saturday Afternoon session helping to make the event even more special.
